The song is pretty damn good. I don't know who sings it but it's not half bad. You can't really compare it to Verve but if I *had* to I would say that this song could fit on the Northern Soul record.
In Other News: The Chemical Brothers album (with the Richard Ashcroft track) will be out at the end of January. The Richard Ashcroft track is called "The Test" and it's not the best Chemical Brothers track. It's just shy of eight minutes and it's a little dull, Richard's voice sounds pretty good though. If you haven't gotten the UNKLE record yet, I suggest picking that one up because his track on there is much better.
CDNOW has the Neotropic album with Nick McCabe online. It's pretty cool because it's a 2CD set, one CD has the soundtrack of the "Prochaine Fois" film, and the second disc is the film.

You haven't got shit pertaining to the McCabe interview (the real creative force behind the verve). What a crock of hype. How fucking hard can it be to post a simple fucking interview on your site; you obviously seem capable of posting copious amounts of mindless drivel about Richard Ashcroft who is an amateur musician and master egomanic! Fuck him! I want to hear the story straight from the genus' mouth and what future projects he might engage in! I challenge you to respond to this, because I know you haven't got shit pertaining to a McCabe interview. Either you are a charlatans or an utter slacker@!! Matt Oberley |
I'm glad you enjoy the site and keep coming back. See, it's about all the people that visit and email me which imspire me to keep this going.
See, I sent the interview away to Nick. I can't FORCE him to send it back and I'm not going to post it until he gives me the okay. I don't see why everyone's all pissed off at me? I guess I shouldn't have said anything until it was ready to go online, but c'mon how long can I not metion that I talked to Nick McCabe? I want to tell you that everything's going to be okay and I'll have the interview online tomorrow, but that's just not the case. It's totally out of my hands.
